VibeStarter Community
Install the bot on your server
VibeStarter Community is a Discord bot for a game’s server. There are two ways to get it, and either way it is set up from the same web dashboard.
The bot is not open yet: neither Community nor the standalone bot subscription can be bought today. This page describes the planned path.
The bot alone
A subscription bought in Discord, for one specific server. No VibeStarter account, no Roblox game, no wiki.
- Sign in to the dashboard with your Discord account.
- Choose the server and subscribe it to the bot in Discord.
- Install the bot from the dashboard, then set it up.
With Community
Included in Community, bought per game in VibeStarter, together with the wiki. The app’s agent sets up the server and the game’s automatic announcements.
- Link your Discord account to your VibeStarter account, from the “My account” page on vibestarter.pro.
- Open your project in the VibeStarter app.
- Go to Community → Discord → Install bot, then choose the server in Discord, with that same Discord account.
- A confirmation page names the game and the server: confirm the association there.
- The web dashboard also opens for that server, with no second subscription.
What the bot does
Protections
It sets up Discord’s AutoMod: spam, mass mentions, language, banned words. Discord enforces these rules itself, even when the bot is offline.
Announcements
It posts your messages in the channel you choose, without mention notifications. With Community, it also announces game events.
Channels and roles
It creates, renames and deletes the channels and roles you ask for.
What to know first
- The dashboard requires you to own the server or hold the Administrator permission there. The bot itself does not request that permission.
- Installing from the app requires owning the project and holding “Manage Server” on Discord. One game is linked to one server, and one server to one game.
- The bot does not read conversations, does not chat with members and bans no one.
- Signing in to the dashboard does not link a game: announcements coming from the game are set up in VibeStarter.
- Downloading the app does not grant Community.
